To keep them green longer, store cool (about 8\u201315\u00b0C) as soon as you receive the box.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1863\" data-end=\"2117\">\n<p data-start=\"1865\" data-end=\"2117\">Cold \/ dry months (around September\u2013May): green plantains may not ripen naturally at room temperature in Japan. Long storage can cause hard skin, darkening, and difficult peeling so don\u2019t store for several weeks.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2118\" data-end=\"2219\">\n<p data-start=\"2120\" data-end=\"2219\">Home ripening results vary by season and home conditions. We cannot offer refunds, replacements, or credits if home ripening does not produce your desired results. If you need ready-to-eat ripe plantains, we recommend purchasing our professionally ripened plantains.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"2221\" data-end=\"2224\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"2226\" data-end=\"2267\"><strong>Natural variation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"2268\" data-end=\"2743\">\n<li data-start=\"2268\" data-end=\"2421\">\n<p data-start=\"2270\" data-end=\"2421\">Fruit size and piece count vary by season. Boxes are sold by weight, not by a fixed number of pieces.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2422\" data-end=\"2617\">\n<p data-start=\"2424\" data-end=\"2617\">In colder months, when stored at home fruit can lose a small amount of moisture (dehydration), so delivered weight can be slightly lower. This does not mean short-packing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2618\" data-end=\"2743\">\n<p data-start=\"2620\" data-end=\"2743\">Minor cosmetic marks (scuffs\/latex stains\/peel marks) are normal and not defects.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"2745\" data-end=\"2748\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"2807\" data-end=\"2840\"><strong>Dispatch &amp; delivery timing<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol data-start=\"2841\" data-end=\"3356\">\n<li data-start=\"2841\" data-end=\"3021\">\n<p data-start=\"2844\" data-end=\"3021\">Your box usually ships from the warehouse before the delivery date shown in your confirmation. Yamato Kuroneko is yellow and Japan Post is red.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3566\" data-end=\"3776\">\n<p data-start=\"3569\" data-end=\"3776\">Request re-delivery as soon as possible (fresh produce is time-sensitive). For same-day re-delivery, the carrier usually needs your request before 17:00.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3777\" data-end=\"3885\">\n<p data-start=\"3780\" data-end=\"3885\">If you need help, contact us and share the tracking number.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3886\" data-end=\"4142\">\n<p data-start=\"3889\" data-end=\"4142\">If the box is held too long by the carrier or returned to us, we will not be able to send a replacement. Returned boxes may cause delivery suspension until we approve reactivation.
